What Shed observes
The folders you register, the ports they’re assigned, and the names you give them. All of it lives in your Mac’s UserDefaults and is never transmitted anywhere. Shed reads files from those folders to serve them locally; it does not modify, rename, or write into them.
What stays on your device
The full app registry — folder paths, ports, names, auto-start preferences, security-scoped bookmarks for folder access across launches. The bundled Caddy serves files only on localhost. The built-in MCP server runs on localhost:7474 and is reachable only from your Mac (and from devices on your Tailscale network if you’ve set that up — those connections are end-to-end encrypted by Tailscale and never go through us).
What Shed does not do
- No analytics
- No crash reporting
- No telemetry
- No accounts
- No cloud sync
- No outbound network requests of any kind
- No data sent to MartianMoo or any third party
Purchase data
Shed is sold through Lemon Squeezy. Any data collected during checkout (name, email, payment details) is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy under their own privacy policy. MartianMoo receives confirmation that a purchase was made and the licence key issued. Nothing else.
