Haunted sits in your menu bar all day. No badge. No count. No tooltip. It doesn’t tell you anything.
At 5pm — exactly 5pm — it tells you which app you switched to most today, and how many times. Beneath that: second and third place, then one line of attitude in a tone you pick (indifferent, dry, existential, brutal). Yesterday’s top three sits below, italic and fading. A footer reminds you that all of it will be forgotten at midnight.
One toggle expands the last seven days into a list of winners — one app per day, nothing further back.
Click the ghost before 5 and it gives nothing away. Click after midnight and it has already forgotten everything. It runs locally, stores nothing in the cloud, and counts only your foreground app activations — not what you typed, who you talked to, or what you read.
It is not a productivity tool. It is a small, quiet, daily mirror.
